Smyers, ot No, 6100 Wabash avenue, so won a bur- glar when ho entered her father's house thet the police to-day say she saved either the life of her father or the life of the burglar, and perhaps the lives or both. Mr. Bmyers discovered the burglar in hia house at midnight. He descended upon him, pistol in hand. The masked man etood his ground and the two men glared at each other. Suddenly the child ran between the father and the in- truder, “Don't shoot the man!" her father. ‘When the burglar saw the little white- robed figure he left quietly.
