TEACHERS DECLARE ~ DOCTOR WAS RUDE Vaccinating Physician from Heatth Department Who Vis- ited Schools Is Charged with Intimidating Bashful Pupils. ‘At a meeting of the Forty-first School District Board, held in Elm- burst, L. 1, last night, charges of ex- treme rudeness were made against a physician representing the Board of Health of Queens County. District Superintendent Franklin made the assertion that a doctor from ‘the Health Department had been visit- fing the various schools, without notice, and demanding to know who had been waccinated. “And he would not take the words of the pupils or of the teachers,” sald ‘Mr. Franklin, “but demanded visible tevidence and frequently use force. “Many of the pupils and teachers are fot vaccinated on the arms, but to this idoctor that fact made no difference. He insisted on a display of vaccination “marks before the whole school.’’ School Commissioner Crough said he | knew this to be true, as his year-old daughter, Mary, hi home crying, with tho sleev @ress cut, She said that a physician had demanded to her vaccination mark, and when she de-| murred to an exposure before the class he had ripped her sleeve open with a penknife.
