Churchill's trial before Po- ce Commissioner Partridge this morning Otto Rosalsky, counsel for Churchill, tried to Inspector Cross excluded from the trial-room on the ground that Cross was to be ‘a witness and that the defense would be that Cross and not Churchill was responsible for the conditions com- plained of in the lied Light district. “There are matters,” he sald, “which will bear directly on the conduct of In- spector Cross.
