Almost immediately he was pounced upon by Prange and his two companions, who rushed upon him, knocked him down and then proceeded to kick him about the face and body. Horan's shouts attracted Policeman Charles McDonnell, of the East Fifty- first street station, and when he ap- peared he saw the thieves running up the avenue.
