Mias Hannah Rice, an authoress, ap- peared before Magistrate Brann in the Yorkville Police Court to-day as com-} plainant in a eummons case against R. L. Bhe owed Wolcott up to last Wednes- day $7.00. It was agreed that she was to leave on Wednesday. Tuesday night she returned from a visit to the country pnd found hersclf tocked out. She told the Magistrate that it was “real ungen- tlerranly of Mr, Wolcott to lock out a worran between 11 and 12 P. M." She sald that he would not even let her ha one of her trunks. ‘Magistrate Brann questioned Wolcott and found that he merely rented fur- niehed rooma and did not come under the protection of the hotel an boarding- house keepers’ law, and told him he had no right to keep the trunks as security.
