Seventh National Bank Was Slow in $983,000 Debit at Clearing-House and Director Wall street was stirred to-day by. the report that the Seventh National Bank and possibly two other inetitu- tions were In trouble. The Seveath is one of the solidest banks in the clty and has been considered able to withstand the severest financial stress, and as a result of the rumor the general feeling became somewhat panicky and stocks broke generally from tyro to five points about 3 oclock. The trouble was due to the slow- ness of the bank In meeting a debit of ] $953,000, but it was all satisfactorily settled, one director putting up more | than $1,000,000 In cash. The Clearing-House Committee was called together at 11 o'clock, and President W. R. Kimball, of the Sev- enth, was sent for. PHILADELPHIA, Pa., June 2%5.—The Grand Jury to-day Ignored the bill of Indictment against John Haggenbotham, charged with the murder of hia mother, and found true bill Mary Wright, the Haggenbotham colored ser- vant, upon whose teeximony the son was a againat held for the Grand Jury. Mrs, Sarah Haggenbotham died June 8 from the result of a terrible beating. The case remained a mystery until a few dayn Inter, when Mary Wright ten- tiled before the Coroner's jury that John Haggenbotham had muntered his aged parent. When accused of the crime Haggen- botham became a raving maniac and it warseveral days before he regained his normal condition.
