The Assembly to-day passed the in- famous Raines Bridge bill giving Weat street to a private corporation supposed to be backed by the Penn- sylvania Railroad Company. The fight over the. bill was the most seasation- al of the session and continued until within half an hour of the time fixed for final adjournment. The vote by w och the bill was passed was 95 to $6. The Tammany members voted for the job in the face of positive assur- ance that the city does not want the measure, They are Assemblymen wurns, Egan, Honeck, Hyman, Lynn, Meister, O'Connell, Prince, Reardon, Sanders, Scanlon, Sullivan and Ull- man. The only Republican member from Manhattan who voted for the job was Adler, of the Eighth District. Flerce Fight Againet Bill. The fight against the measure was let by Assemblyman Fitzgernid, whose re- markable speech provented the pansage of the bill last night.
