FREED HUSBAND OF WOMAN SHOT. in Court Pfirzig Says That It: Was an Accident. THE RESULT OF A JOKE. Mystery Was Made of Affair by the Conduct of the Hospital Patient. Herman Pfirzig, of 317 East Etghty- frat etreet, husband of the woman who wns taken to the Presbyterian Hospital late Tuesday night wounded by a re- volver, was arraigned in the Harlem Court to-day. He eaid that his wife had shot herself by accident with a weapon belonging to his friend Wetzel, the man that accom- panied Mrs. Pfirzig to the hospital. The shooting has not altered the cordial re- lationg of the two men, as Pfirsig de- clarcd to Magistrate Meade. He said that {t was all the result of a jocular remark and that the woman didn't know, that the revolver was loaded when she potnted tt at herself. A mystery wes made of the case by the giving of assumed names at the bos- pital and the disappearance of Wetzel after he left Mra Pfryig there. Magistrate Meade to-day discharged the husband.
