GO HOME CONTENTED, Delegates to the Catholic Conven- tion Pleased with Results. Satolli to Decide on Monks of St. Vincent Beer-Brewing. Hard W to Be the Rule for the Next ¥ Moat of the delegates to the Catholic National Total Abstinence Union of America Convention, which came to a close in Columbus Hall, Sixtieth street and Tenth avenue, yesterday, accepted an invitation of the Paulist Fathers and St. Paul's Guild to sail w the Hudson this morning. The boat started from the foot of West Fifty-ninth street at 10 ‘clock, and the journey to West Point was begun, A string band furnished the music. The delegates are more than satisfied with the work of the Convention, which they consider the most important held @ince the Union was organized. They Delleve the remult will work wonders. In the first place, they have come out flat-footed against Sunday saloon open- ing and for an early Saturday-cloning law. They have declared in favor of the Strict enforcement of all excise laws. They have made an energetic demand that all Catholics engaged in the liquor Dusiness shall get out of it, as ordered by the Baltimore Council. In making this demand upon laymen, they took occasion, but not by resolu- tion, to denounce by name the Monks ef Bt. Vincent for brewing beer and putting It on the market. The monas- tery would have been named, but for the fact that the subject is now in the hands of Mgr. Satolli. The delegates are also delighted with fhe Proad spirit displayed in the Con- vention and the fact that It has now Glasped hands with non-Catholic organi- Sations of a like nature, to push the @ause of total abstinence. More than all, they are pleased with the, attention they attracted, and the fact that Mgr.
