DER CLUES BY THE SCORE Bone Tangible Enough to Warrant a Solution of the Henry Tragedy. CONVICT MORAN IMPLICATED Theory that William, “ Bad Son,” Had an Accomplice. ‘S$ ALLEGED CONFESSION. the LATTE! Supt. McKelvey Will Not Have the Body Exhumed to Compare Hand and Bloody Imprint, ‘There were several new phases of the Henry murder mystery to-day. Ac- cording to some reports, William Henry, the son of the old miser, was convicted beyond the shadow of a doubt; other Feports made Walter the criminal; oth- @rs reasoned out that neither William nor Walter. but an accomplice of the former, committed the deed. According to other accounts, Supt. McKelvey was contemplating having the old miner's body exhumed in order to get photograph of the hand. This was to see whether or not the hand was the same as that which made the Bloody imprint on the walls of the house near where the body was found. He was also to have Walter's hand photographed, as well ax William's, @ee whether elther of them could have Made the impression. Both were cred- {ted with having peculiar hands, and welence was to be called in to determine the great question, William Henry, according to another feport, confessed to his brother Walter that he had committed the murder. The eonfession ig said to have been made Gfter the commission of the crime, and that this in iteelf accoun:ed for Walter Mot having been called to the witness Stand to testify ut the inques:. His failure to have William arrested on the Friday night when he called at the Flatbush house, and the fact that ‘Re did not inform the police of the con- feasion, made him an accessory to the @urder after the fact. And the story intended to make Stronger the chain of evidence against ‘William in the alleged fact that Con- viet Moran, at one time William's friend and associate and who confessed having cracked the safe in the New York restaurant where William was employed as cashier, had been seen at the inquest. The theory ts that per- haps William had an accomplice in the ™murder and that Moran may know a Good deal about it. It ts wald that the famous letter al- to have been written by the father against William and handed to Walter when the latter called at the miser’s house the night before the mur- Ger was actually in Walter's possession Jong before that time. It everal persons to the letter before the time he told the police he had re- ceived {t will come forward at the right moment and testify to the facts, The last story, but by no means the east sensational, wan to the effect that fm searching the miner's house again yesterday Capt. Kitzer, of the De Kalb venue station, had found In the kitchen mn bi ve. It was sald to jam at one time. Dt, McKelvey said this morning that pad no intention of having the miser's witha?" any truth in the story that confessed the mur i Brother Walter?’ ho was asked, “Not @ particle,” the Superintendent & fact, so far as you know, that f ever showed that letter to a ‘One before handing it over to the police wisdg not believe he ever showed it 9 me 30 Ww ecard of it efore this." .
