The autopsy performed to-day upon the body of Andrew Howe, who died in the alcoholic ward uf Bellevue Hosptial yes: terday, Indicates that he was munlered. ‘The theory Is that he was sandbagged for the purpose of robbery. The autopsy was performed by Dep- uty Coroner Weston, It was found that there was a fracture at the base of Mr Howe's skull, and that the brain was lacerated, elther of which was suificient to cause death. Deputy Coroner Weston said Mr. Howe's fatal wounds might have been aused by a sandbag, and the mark on his chin may be the result of his falling face forward from the blow.
