BIG SIR WALTER NOW, The Oneck Stable Favorite Has Filled Out Wonderfully. —— Electrical Treatment May Save G. W. Johnson for the Turf. Old Jerome Park Doomed, but ts Still Used for Training. (Special to The Evening World.) JEROME PARK, April §.—Jerome Park has had its last race, and the old his- toric track will be a thing of the past after this Spring. The trainers at the track have received notice to leave at once. The recent storms played havoc with the old stand and betting ring, the roofs of both being nearly torn entirely off. Supt. Barettl said to an “Evening World” reporter to-day that tt did not matter much, as it was only a questi of a month or so when all of the bulld- ings around the track would be taken down, A visit to the Oneck stables found the atring in excellent shape and in the best of health. Sir Walter was the first looked over. He can no longer be called little, as racegoers familiarly termed him. To-day he is a gigantic hor: standing over 15.3, with forelegs, quar ters, neck and shoulders as big as a Clydesdale stallion.
