Dr. Walker ordered him to take to his bed. He obeyed, and he never left his bed again. He was supposed to be improving, and his condition was not thought to be dangerous until 7.90 A. M. yesterday. Then he had a sinking spell. The family were alarmed, and Dr, Walker was hastily summoned. Later Dr. Swift, Dr. Walker's partner, and Drs. Bangs and Thomas were called in, Mr. McAllister rallied about 10.30 A. M., but early in the afternoon he began to fail again, and grew worse rapidly until his death. Just before he died he reached out his hands towards his broth- er and spoke to him a few words, Then his head fell back upon the pillow and he breathed his last. For more than a year Mr, McAllister had been afflicted with a chronic all- ment, which is supposed to have has- tened his demise. He made a trip abroad last summer, hoping for the betterment of his health, and consulted some of the leading physicians of Europe. ——_— HER TRUE PRESENTIMENT.
