Cynthia is “the goat.” At least Mrs. Esterley blames it all onto Cynthia. I'm sorry. Of course, if I had had any idea that my readers would be insulted, I would never have printed the letter. I only did so in an effort to help find a home for the dog. In fact scarcely a day goes by but that I receive letters from people wanting to find homes for kittens and dogs, I’m al Ways glad to do this. Only yesterday a lady called me to thank me for finding | homes for four puppy dogs. She said over 150 people called ‘on her and she even received letters from out of town sub- seribers wanting her to express a puppy to them. She thought it was wonderful that so many people responded. The dogs were all gone by 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon, the day the letter was printed, but this lady stayed at home all day Sunday in order to let the people know, That's real co-operation. Mrs. Esterley’s letter is the first complaint of this kind I have ever had and I hope the last. Cynthia doesn’t want to be the cause of losing any of The Star’s big family.
