NEW BOOST FOR CHAMBER DRIVE P voter Operators Give $2,000 and Laud Its Benefit ‘ Maitby & Thurston, operators of Reveral Seattlo hotels and apartment houses, top tho list of subscriptions to date to tho fund of $195,000 now being raised by the Chamber of Com- Merce to continue Seattle's advertis- ing and tourist promotion work for 1924, Their pledgo ts for $2,000 and was accompanied by a statement in which they heartily indorsed the campaign and emphasized the value of tho results that have already been apparent from the chamber’s adver: tising, The committee {n charge of tho campaign has been advised unofft- cially of several other large subscrip- ons from hotels which are expected to be received within the next day or two, according to David Whitcomb, general chairman.
