MONDAY, Hughes Makes no Comment; Notaries | ,xorne Declare Bible Not Necessary When, feo Oath to Office Holders AUGUST 20, 1928. THE THE STAR'S “TRUTH” By Philip E. Stevenson R COMPLETE SHORT STORY TOMORROW fe Tho life ¢ had arrived § wang was 1 Secretary Hughe oO mak R. L. Edmis SPOKANE, Aug, 20 reading NAVY YARD ROUTE —=\\ Pe a ae ae tne eee Now the Cheasty store is ready to announce to all men and young men of the Puget Sound country-that “RAYVSTAN” Suits and Overcoats are’ here in a sufficient quantity to justify the fullest and widest publicity. When we were able to get them only by hundreds, we simply used the street car card as their advertising medium and the response was so great and instantaneous that it became necessary to arrange to buy them by the thousands, if we expected to advertise them to any greater extent and thereby increase the demand. Long has been felt the need of what might be termed ‘“‘super-quality’’ suits and overcoats, that could be sold at a popular price, but this is the first time that a Seattle Store maintaining such a rigid quality, style and fit standard as Cheasty’s, has been able to meet such ademand. It is the result of some two years of definite planning to put over such an accomplishment. But its here and glad we know you'll be to hear about it. Take the Raystan suits for instance: They are all wool, are tailored by hand in all essential places, fit as well as the finest garments made by anyone, are styled correctly and each one bears the Cheasty label which means an absolute guarantee of satisfaction, even to the slightest detail. Both the maker and our firm have eliminated all possible overhead inthe construction and selling of these garments and it is with unusual pride that in this personal message, I have the honor to present to you “RAYSTA Suits and Overcoats at $335.50 Look at them, try them on, then look in other shops in the city; we know you'll be back.
