Ernest Busch FROM ICY BAY Rescued from death in the icy waters of Puget sound early Mon day, Don Kane, laborer, was rushed to the city hospital, suffering trom and total exhaustion Kane was knocked overboard from the Great Northern docks at 6:30 m. by two men who held him up. He resisted their attack, but they finally overpowered him and pushed him Jinto the water Kane screamed loudly for help, and two men, Carl Bronk and Frank Champion, rushed to hin- aid and threw him a rope. Kane was unable to do more than hold on to the line, his two rescues could not pull him out of the water, and he was forced to hang onto the rope while the two men lied lustily for help. After 10 minutes had passed a ntreet car man heard the calls and phoned to the police. Patrolmen EB. Rix and M, W. Palmer rushed to the scene and dragged Kane trom the water in the nick of time.
