PAGE 16 Seattle Society Miss Pe; gy Butterworth Has Charming Home Wedding; Mrs. Mil- burn Plans Luncheon. IWRROUNDED by of Mowers tn shades of orehiy and white—chrysanthemums and roses Miss Peggy Butterworth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert M. Butter worth, was wed last evening to Mr Walter Bower Jenkins of Sacramen a wealth te, Cal, at a beautiful ceremony performed at the home of the bride's parents, Rev. George Guenther of Mount Vernon reading the service at 7 o'clock, fn the presence of the immediate far The vows were exchanged before an improvised altar in the drawing room encircled with standards of the chrysanthemums and the same blooms, palms and ferns forming the background, lighted with altar candies tp tall branching candelabra Mre. Eur! Edmunsen played the wedding march from “Lohengrin” and preceding the ceremony Mr Magnus Peterson sang “At Dawn ing.” Mrs. Warde R. Bowles of Portland was matron of honor and Mr. Bowles was best man Mrs. Bowles wore an exceedingly attractive Meyer gown of Mame col ored georgette, combined with silver cloth. On her hair was a wreath of silver leaves and she carried an arm bouquet of Ophelia roses and bouvardia. The bride, one of Seattle's most charming girls, was given in mar tiage by her father. Her gown wax & Most exquisite Sally Milgrim mod el of silver cloth, the skirt bad an overdrapery of metallic lace dotted at intervals with tiny nosegays. The hedice was designed long and straight with the tight neck line and sleeveless. She wore no train, and in lieu of the regulation vel! her hair was encircled by a filet of silver leaves with miniature clusters of silver grapes at either side and her arms were filled with lilies of the valley and gardenias with long whowers of the valley lilies, The only ornament worn was a platinum bracelet set with diamonds and sapphires, the gift of the groom Mrs. Butterworth wore a hand. some costume of black sequins and & corsage of orchids. A large reception was held at 8:30 o'clock.
