Following is one letter containing a solution: Dear Miss Grey: I was deeply moved by “Jack's” letter which appeared in your columns seevral days ago. | Why could not the Red Cross, Y. W. C. A., the churches, }or even the church ladies of this city arrange to have a list of homes of people who would be willing to invite some of these lonely, well-meaning sailor lads—even if they are homes where there are no daughters, could they not make some evening entertainment and invite some of their neighbors or friends? These boys, many of them, long for a glimpse of real home atmosphere, and they have all had mothers at one time or another, Why can we not give them just an hour or so of our time? Why could not homes where there are young folks have a listing and work it something like an employment agency is handled?
