The Treat of the Evening Here is a recipe easy to follow: Just take M cup Karo (Crystal White) 1% teaspoons Salt 44 cup lukewarm Water % cup Kingsford’s Corn Starch 2 cups Mille 2 tablespoons Mazola About 24% cups Flour 2 Yeast Cakes Scald the milk. Pour into the mixing bowl, add Karo (Crystal White), salt and Mazola. When lukewarm add the yeast dissolved in the warm water, and enough flour sifted with corn starch to make a thin batter, Beat thoroughly, cover, and rise till about double in bulk, Add enough flour to make a dough as soft as can be handled. Turn onto floured board, knead until spongy and elastic, Let it rise till triple in bulk. Turn onto a well-floured board and roll out lightly about half an inch thick. Cut with a biscuit cutter previously dipped in flour. Dip handle of a case knife in flour and with it make a crease through the middle of each piece. Brush over half of the top of each piece with Mazola and press the edges together lightly. Place in a greased pan one inch apart. Cover, and let rise till light. Bake in a hot oven twelve to fifteen minutes, T is not necessary to purchase both a bread and a pastry flour. By using quarter cup of Kingsford’sCornStarch to three-quarter cup of any good flour the percentage of gluten is decreased and the starch content increased so that home prepared flour will make a lighter and finer grained cake, your wrtte Joh ahtilo Con Beartlen Waehn tor folder of new Kingsfora Corn Starch Highland drive, at 2p. m cs 8 at a meeting held under the auspices lly | Seattle Day Nursery of King County Legislative Federa-| ee a Reattle Day Nursery will meet af tion. saturday, April 29, at 2 p. m., | cee | Seattle Chapter, No 93 Business and Professional Women's rsonal | pate Comet RN ee i votes will meet in Corinthian room! he seattle Business and Profes Mies Harriet Goodin, of fan Fran Masonic temple Visit of 87894 | sional Women's club will hold a spe cisco, who has been the guest of matron. elal open meeting for members and Jude and Mrs. Willlam’ Hick #706 Interested business and professional Moore for the past two months, left Veomen Beoster Club women on Thursday evening, April last week for her bh A card party will be given by the! a7, at @:90 p.m. at Meves’ cafeteria ve Yeoman Hoorter elu 17 Jack in the large private dining room, for Mra.
