Hear them say: “Why, of course, the poll tax law will be re- pealed by the next legis- lature. It hasn't worked out very well. There too much public senti ment against it. It isn't necessary to have the people vote on the repeal. It isn’t necessary to have any initiative measure at all. When the next legis- lature meets the poll tax will be abolished. Why, even Governor Hart thinks the poll tax ought to be repealed now.” Don’t let these poli- ticians trick you with that sort of talk! The legislature passed that poll tax law! Gov. Hart demanded it! We KNOW this! Maybe the legislature would repeal thé poll tax. And maybe it wouldn't We cannot afford to take a chance for we never KNOW what the state solons will do, There is just one sure way to rid this state of the poll tax law. That is to put an initiative re- peal measure on the bal- lot and give the people a chance to decide. We all KNOW what they'll de- cide. The people will kill the poll tax by an over- whelming vote. Pay no attention to the politicians who op- pose the initiative repeal measure. Register so that you can sign the repeal peti- tion. Sign the petitions when they are circulated a few weeks hence!
