U. S. WAY NOW CLEARED FOR BIG SCHEME! Arms Parley Removes Ob- stacles to Plan for Globe- Girdling Communications BY WM. PHILIP SIMMS WASHINGTON, Nov, 18-—The last obstacles in the way of an All American system of wireless com- munications which will girdle the globe within the next 18 months have finally been swept away—the first definite result of the calling of the Pacific conference, Experts and materials are now on the way to China where the Federal Telegraph company will shortly begin building the greatest fireless plant in the world, There will be four stations—at Shanghai, Peking, Harbin and Can- ton.
