The Great American Red Cross The Seattle Chapter, American Red Cross, has expended since Armistice Day, upon the ex-service men and their families, almost $300,000.00. The Seattle Chapter for many months has confined its financial assistance sub- stantially to disabled men alone and their families. Since Armistice Day we have handled nearly 15,000 families; have made 25,186 visits to homes and hospitals; have filed 2,145 compen- sation claims and 10,034 miscellaneous claims. We have answered approximately 32,000 information inquiries. The Red Cross Nurs- ing Department has made 11,261 nursing visits during the past twelve months, and since the first of April of this year the Junior Red Cross Clinic has handled 5,166 clinic cases.
