C. Boots, as managing secretary. The resignation was gocepted with reluctance by the executive committee Thursday, Th committee will meet in a few days to fill the vacant post. The exposi- tion is scheduled to take place at the Bell street terminal Nov. 21 to 26. The executive committee this morning iseved @ statement which points out that entire accord existed |and still exists between themselves and Soots. Soots was unwilling to continue as manager unless given a free hand in matters of finance as weil as in all other details of the explosion, Be- cause the finance, committee was un- willing that the tentative budget be exceeded until further contributions come in he deemed his resignation advisable, Soots said that upon his return to Yakima, where he is sec- retary of the Yakima Commercial club, he will work just as faithfully for the exposition as if he were con- tinuing as manager. Mexico Wants Trade With Seattle Firms, L. M. Detco, Mexican consul gen- eral, has written the foreign trade bureau of the Seattle Chamber of Commerce that he desires Seattle firms to take advantage of a new Tex. This bureau is designed to bet- ter trade relations between the Unit- ed States and Mexico, and to furnish the general public with information regarding the commerce of either country, he says.
