Below, Andy McCann, pro- prietor of .the Innovation Shingle Co., also left a ruin when the torrent passed. MeCann has buftt and owned six mill, The first wax at Falls City in 1899. It burned and tm 1905 wax rebuilt. He tore this plant down and in-1909 put up-a mill at-North Bend. He was driven out the next year by forest fires and in 1911 baflt a mill at Olympia. He sold it and erected the Edgewick plant: ‘The latter was just well in operation and looking forward to the great Iumber demand of 1919 when the December, 1918, i; | disaster came and wiped the whole thing out. Weeks has been 32 years tn the Snoqualmie country and, together with McCann, missed the chance of @ lifetime, both believe, when their plants were destroyed on the eve of the great 1919 lumber boom.
