Plays All Records Sr Time White Sewing 314 PINE TWOS Machine Co. TTORES 415 UNION THE DEMARD of the DAY IS SANITATION Medium priced dentistry does not mean poor dentistry. The methods of conducting a dental office control the price of the work. The value of the material in a plate or a crown is easily determined, but if a dentist wishes to limit his labors to a few people each day and cuts his working time to as few hours as possible, naturally he must get a high price for his labor to sustain himself. A $7,000 a year dental practice will clear about $4,000. Rather stiff prices must be charged to make this profit. By buying material in large quantities and by careful business management I can make approximately $10,000 on each $50,000 of dental work which I perform. The operators in my employ earn more than the average dentist who conducts a small office. My operators are all graduated and Ii- censed dentists. They are broadened by a wide experience—they have my experience to draw upon. They have instilled in them the spirit of doing the best for the patient. They work with the latest and most modern equip- ment, including the newest X-Ray apparatus. The average dentist is not a business man. The dentist whose first aim is big fees is not a benefit to the people. If big fees came first many people would be de- prived of good, healthy teeth. ‘ Every authority on health recognizes the dentist as a necessity. Such author- ity does not specify “cheap dentistry” or “exorbitant priced” dentistry, but rather “honest dentistry” and would recom- mend it at a reasonable price. Every instrument is sterilized for them and they have lady nurses to assist them. The have every incentive to perform the best wo under ideal conditions. My practice is large eno or bg Bas en- courage my operators to specialize in ticular work to which thie mone best adapted, and my patients receive the benefit of this. In other words I am doing at a lower cost equally as well as the high-priced dentist with a good even chance of giving you even better service. I know that my dentistry is not cheap dentistry in the sense of its being poor dentistry. My office and the success of business belie this charge. You must: admit this un- less you are prejudiced. It is the duty of every man of experience and ability in matters concerning the public health to place his service and experience within the reach of every one. My advertising permits me to place good, honest dentistry within the re of every family and by securing large volume I am able to make my business a success upon @ small margin of profit.
