Booze ooze GREATEST VICE ORGY IN HISTORY EXPOSED Pastor Turns Searchlight on Booze Dens and Vicious Dancing | NEW YORK, April 6.—New York is about to disclose to Ameri gaze the most astounding vice orgy in the} history of civilization, This condition has developed since the end of the war, and has been accentuated since the outward enforcement of national prohibition. Two men most responsible for bringing it to light are James E. Smith, assistant district attorney, and the Rev. John R. Straton, pastor of Calvary Baptist church. As a result of a sermon preached Sunday by Straton, police Monday night raided Peter’s restaurant on the Upper West Side, arrested the proprietor and three em- ployes, and announced they had seized large quantities of} liquor. 4 Five hundred patrons fled panic-stricken, many leaving hats and wraps behind.
