THE ee STAR—WEDNESDAY, MARCH 17, 1920. "Vamp 1 Tries to Lure Husband Away From Wife in F ilmplay | \ \ x Just Tonight, Thursday, Friday— The vanity box of Manhattan spread out for all to view—the regal $150,000 screen spectacle Today’s big new play, here until Friday night only, is a six-part drama of a French girl who posed. She had a tough time of it. She was going, going, but before she was gone something happened. They said she couldn’t be the model she was and be proper. They said she couldn’t be starving and be good. But she showed them a thing or two. This picture is from the famous Pierre Wolff drama, “The Gutter” — nee ORE Scene from “The Virtuous Model,” a new photoplay open- ing at the Strand today. Dolores Cassinella, often referred to by artists as the “cameo girl,” because of her beautiful complexion, has the leading role. The story is about a French} girl, who works as a model for a famous sculptor. Later they} are married—then into the story enters a yamp (a former sweetheart of friend hubby.) The rest oftthe story is de-| voted to the struggle between the “vamp” and the wife for) the sculptor’s favor. “ht: ae oes * * & ARSHALL NEILAN engaged |) —————__— - x! Me TODAY'S PROGRAMS A.
