The actual opening of Schwabacher Bros. & Co. now Seattle’s oldest mercantile establishment, took place five days following that first announcement. During all the vicissitudes of fifty years in a community which has grown from such small beginnings to world-wide importance, overcoming all difficulties which stood in the way of its development as a great commercial and manufacturing city, # SCHWABACHER BROS. & CO., Inc., have maintained an unbroken identity and have striven unceasingly to be of worthy service to the constantly expanding city, with its trade territory of such marvelous promise and richness.
