THE SEATTLE STAR—FRIDAY, APRIL 18, 1919. ant ' MIT ee yin Ht ny } \ Vint | ill S fr if Iti 4h im i | Wala ida i aust 6S GRE a ps Se eT TET eee | By Joseph A. Swalwell, i Chairman Victory Liberty Loan Organization } . a of Washington ? OOK back six months—what would we not then have paid z for Victory!- - - Victory now is ours, and the price of Vic- tory above the blood and sacrifice is dollars.- - - Let each man, woman and child give solemn thought to the obligation that now faces America—each state, each city, each in- dividual. The war is won but the bill is unpaid. To preserve world freedom Uncle Sam has drawn against YOU on the Bank of Good Faith, and now YOU must honor the obligation.- - - Thousands of homes have paid their individual debt a hundred times over in _ agony and tears; it is merely dollars that now are asked.- - 4No consideration that ever moved you to subscribe to any one of the previous Liberty Loans is absent in this—all combine their insistent note in the Victory Loan, with song of triumph a-ringing in your ears.- - - Nor does our great government ask real sacrifice of you. Upon the firm foundation that one hundred million people built— upon the bed rock of the American nation—rests the credit behind ; every Victory Bond. And these bonds pay 4 3-4 per cent interest with such tax exemptions and other advantages as to make them perhaps the most desirable securities ever offered by the United States government.: - - The greatest job this nation ever undertook is almost done. For the sake of those boys who have covered the Stars and Stripes anew with glory, for the sake of the fair name of America and of Washington, for the sake of our own souls, let’s “Finish the Job!” Uh ti | ANS 2 So ga : 0 RN idle fo ace Hh Asi He) 4 | i iit my AA AAT 4 i! ue it AY iL i Sh
