PAGE 8 ORE TT EAT ten cnet ie ND SEATTLE STAR—TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 1918 LABOR’S APPEAL eedee | eMeeener TO LABOR: ra = BUY MORE BONDS The King County Fourth Liberty Loan has put it up to the Industrial Division to not only increase the number of subscribers taking bonds through this Division, but to tremendously increase the amount of bonds subscribed for by our members. We are securing more subscriptions than ever before from our members, and will continue to do so, but the total amount subscribed is far below what is required of us. We must make good our promise and our obligation to the nation, to humanity and to ourselves. To do this, we must subscribe to the absolute limit in order to reach the goal set for us. We call on you to take no account of conditions that you think justify you in limiting or withholding your bond subscription. It is your duty if you havebought a fifty-dollar bond, to go back and buy another. If you have bought a hundred-dollar bond, it is up to you to increase it. if Remember that thousands of men have died for you. Keep constantly in your i mind that your sons, your brothers, your relatives, and your friends “Over There” are depending on you to do your part and hold up your end here in Seattle, just as they are doing so gloriously in Europe. been made and that are If you do subscribe to the limit—if you deny yourself in order to buy more bonds—you will have the satisfaction and the consciousness of knowing that you have done your part—that you have helped sustain those whoss sacrifice is infinitely greater than any you can make here at home. made for you.
