PAGE 4 Carelessness Conquers Thoughtlessness Recklessness Be Cautious Yourself When approaching a danger point, do not heedlessly proceed afoot or in a vehicle without first being sure that it is safe for you to do so. In your work, if you come in con- tact with machinery, see that same is in perfect working order before attempting to perform your duties. In matters of personal injury— none are too small to be neglected. Take the precaution of immediate attention. THINK! TALK! TEACH!— Preach Caution to Others It matters not what some might think, nothing is more important to humanity than the cause of “ACCIDENT PREVENTION.” So you need not be ashamed _ to “preach” caution wherever you are and at any time. By talking it, you keep the cause before the public and as a result, accidents are averted and eventually reduced in numbers. Thereby Reducing the Number of Accidents Exact Caution From Others The lack of caution on the part of others may result disastrously to you. Your associate’s lack of cau- tion might not prove hurtful to him but it might cost you your life. It is your duty to yourself and fam- ily to see that those about you practice caution as you do your- self. Exact it from your associates, in your work, on the street, every- where. “SAFETY FIRST” RULES OF RIGHT LIVING Cho Ito & Co Cobb, C. Columbia Salmon Co. Commercial Boiler Works Cooper, Frank B. F.
