T IEN THE BOY SCOUT COMES TOMORROW BE READY TO “BUY ANOTHER BOND!” Liberty Day is followed tomorrow by the Boy Scouts, who visit every home in Seattle for the Third Liberty Loan. These sturdy youths are going out on the firing line here at home to do their share in winning the war for America. Unless this war is soon ended, and ended only as America can see it ended, these same manly chaps who will knock at your door tomorrow will be out on that other, that terrible firing line, where their elder brothers are today defending civilization from a brute that disgraces the stature of man. These boys are ready and willing to go ‘when their country calls, but you can help keep them at home. Your dollars will end this war before these youths of tender years are thrown to the Moloch of war. Doubtless you have bought one or more Liberty Bonds. Good! Buy another from the Boy Scouts! Help them to make Boy Scout Day one of the biggest of this campaign. Let’s give Seattle right quick the over- subscription that Secretary of theTreasury McAdoo asks. : We have our quota on the three billion basis originally asked, but now Uncle Sam pleads for five billions. Can we do less than our share? Can we let it be said that Seattle lagged? Buy another bond tomorrow for your children. Buy all the bonds you can to protect them---to keep them safe in the shelter of your American home, with the flag of Liberty still waving above their heads.
