You can buy Sterling Silverware for a fifth less than the regular figures. And the plated Silverware and much of the gold-filled jewelry is of- fered at a third to a half less. NE window alone shows over a hun- dred thousand dollars’ worth of diamonds, and every single stone is re: duced. The reductions are greatest on clus- ter rings and fancy mountings, of course. But to buy diamonds at this time (when they’re going up every year) at any re- duction is great, good fortune. And diamond buyers were quick to investigate! HIS is being written at the close of the day. The cash registers show that we have broken even the CHRIST- MAS record. And everybody is tired out. Later it will be possible to tell something of the prices. But the diamond show alone—the greatest on the Pacific Coast—is worth coming miles to see. And the wise folks who invest sur- plus dollars in diamonds will surely be here again tomorrow. N EEDLESS to say, plain figures and plain methods are in force. There is no mercantile “‘camouflage.” Every- body can see the old prices, and figure the discounts for themselves. Terms are cash, but reservations may be made for later delivery if de- sired. This is so that nobody need miss the savings. Time to close and get the lunch most of us missed at noon! I thank you. GEORGE FRANCIS ROWE. 5. FRIEDLANDER & SON Cor.
