a Stage Special PULLMAN, Wash.,, Oct. 9.-Russia is doomed to wit ness a bloody counter revolution this coming winter which will be a finish fight between the military party, headed by the imprisoned Korniloff, and the Extrentists, of whom Ker ay. is the present leader. his prediction was made today by Prof, Frank C Golder, member of the National Geographic society and of Washington State college, who recently returned from Russia. It is the first actual description and interpretation of events made by a Washingtonian since the Russian revo- lution. The revolution, Golder asserts, was deliberately started by the autocracy, and in this way. Here is his story: The government knew a revolution was inevitable after the war and that it stood a good chance to succeed So the government flooded the factories with itators.. It deliberately sought to stir up a revolt ich it proposed to stamp out with such ferocity that the people would be terrorized for years to come. The plan worked, but too successfully. The autocracy lost control. When the government attempted to use the army to break up the fast-working machinery of the revolutionists, the army failed and joined the revolution. The czar abdicated Autocracy had played its last card and lost I arrived in Petrograd five days before the revolution No one thought for an instant that revolt was near. dt eame as a complete surprise, especially to the Germans. Along toward the end of the week the workingmen filled the streets. They were dispersed by Cossacks and machine guns The government posted notices forbidding such gatherings, but they continued. Within two days the revolution broke Germany gathered together hundreds of nihilists and anarchists banished by the old Russian autocracy and living, ne in Sweden, some in Denmark, some in Switzerland SHE RUSHE THESE AGITATORS CLEAR ACROSS GERMANY IN SPECIAL TRAINS, WITH THE RIGHT OF WAY OVE VERYTHING, AND SHIFTED THEM INTO THE RUSSIAN ARMY new freedom, that: “That is a capitalists’ war. The Bolsheviki party, which controlled the Moscow con ference, is the I. W. W. organization of Russia. The mem bers believe in going to the uttermost extremities of social ism in its most radical form. This party has already ruled out many conservative members and taken the bit between, its teeth. Decentralization of the present government is on} its way. Food is scarce in Russia. The peasants and discharged soldiers are flocking to the cities.
