PAGE 8 —= NOTICE To the Former Employes of the Puget Sound Traction, Light & Power Company, Seattle Division: We realize that many of our former employes have been coerced through threats and otherwise persuaded against their wills to leave their employment and align themselves with a recently formed organization dominated and controlled by outside parties. To these men we want to say that applications for reinstatement in their former positions without loss of rank or seniority, made either in person or by letter, will be received by Superintendent of Transportation D. W. Henderson, 205 Electric Building, up to 12 o’clock, noon, Friday, July 20, 1917. Such applications will be listed and these men called upon for duty when the company’s service is resumed under protection of the authorities. All former employes failing to avail themselves of the opportunity to enroll for service in their former positions before the above named time and date will have to return as new men, if at all. Men to Operate Street Cars Applications will be received by the undersigned company from reliable men of good habits, between the ages of 21 and 45 years. It is further the desire of the company to recruit its forces locally, and it will do so if possible. If the efforts of the company to secure trainmen locally are unsuccessful it will become nec- essary to bring in trainmen from outside and we desire to give notice at this time that arrangements are now being made whereby trainmen can be brought here at short notice if it finally becomes necessary to do so, other methods having failed.
