Use as indicated in other throat uses, or with spray or nebulizing outfit. Constant use of mild solutions will prevent an attack of throat trouble, and will often check one that has started, in one night Cold in the Chest. Rub Benetol Ointment thoroughly into chest, back and arm pits at night; keep chest well covered with flannel all the time. This treat- ment has also been recommended by physt- clans in pneumonia, Benetol steam at night. Hay Fever, Same treatment as for “cold tn the head.” If infection has reached antrum of Highmore, have your physician irrigate the antrum with solution teaspoonful Benetol per quart warm water. If affection can be reached with Bene- tol, it will be checked, Whooping Cough. Gargle throat every hour with 20 drops per glasa warm water, swallowing some after each time. Put a teaspoonful of Benetol in a pint of warm water, Fill a syringe and wash with this solution. Now cover a “Benetol Rectal Suppository” with “Benetol Ointment” and tn- sert before retiring. The first treatment will give relief, and a single box of Suppositories is usually enough for the average case. INTERNAL USES Internally Benetol may be taken in water, | sweetened water, syrup of orange or rhubarb, any malt liquid. Ptomaine Poisoning. Ordinarily five drops taken in one-half glass hot water will relieve distress, but in regular treatment, give five drops five times dafly in hot water or other medium and increase to ten or even twenty drops. Cases of chronic gas- tritis, catarrh of stomach, and even stomach ulcers, resisting all other treatment, have final ly yielded to Benetol Dysentery and other Bowel or Intes- tinal Disorders. Take five to twenty drops Benetol internally five times daily in hot water or some other medium as above. Wash out bowels every other day with enema of hot water containing two teaspoonfuls Benetol per quart. Specially Valuable Uses for Benetol. For lame, tired feet, a tablespoonful of Benetol in pail of hot water rests them at once, and destroys all odors, About an ounce in hot bath destroys the millions of pore germs, imparts a beautified glow to the flesh. Sweetens, invigorates and beautifies the whole skin. Disinfecting. Wash sinks and bowls with hot water solu- tion of Benetol. Pour a few drops in toilet bowl every few days. Always pour a little Benetol into cuspidors and put a few drops on the lip of same. It will sterilize and de- odorize them and make contents harmless from contagion through flies. Tablespoonful to pail of water will make strong disinfectant and deodorizer for scrubbing and house clean- ing of all kinds. Use the soiled scrubbing water to wash out garbage can. Scrub cellar with like solution and sweeten house thereby. Teaspoonful in dishwater will sterilize plates and utensils, ete., and soften the water, KEEP BENETOL IN THE HOUSE. IT’S SAFE. The great drawback in keeping the strong poisonous antiseptics in the house for emer- |gencies has been the danger of poisoning. Children will get hold of things and carbolic acid and bichloride of mercury tablets are dangerous for them to handle. Even adults often make serious mistakes with such pol- sons.
