PAGE 3 ‘One of the Most Beautiful Women in the World Is at the STRAND Today In fact she is claimed by many who are com- petent to know to be the MOST PERFECT type of American beauty. And she is one of the very classiest dressers, too. It is VIRGINIA PEARSON —IN— “HYPOCRISY” In this picture she wears some of her handsomest gowns. If you enjoy seeing a clean, wholesome picture, produced with everything that money and brains can use to make a fine picture, you will most certainly want to see “Hypocrisy.” It has its lessons, too— it shows the danger—yes, the absolute folly, of trying to live beyond one’s means just to make a show. The last act is one of the most thrilling bits that has been seen on a Seattle screen in a long time. Miss Pearson engages in hand-to- hand struggle with the vil- lain to regain the paper which will save her hus- band. She does it, of course, but that fight is well worth seeing, believe us. hen we want to tell you that in the violin playing of Florence Kubey we have a rare treat for you. Miss Kubey has already achieved a much more than local reputation and is looked upon as one of the bright prospects of this community to make a career for her- self. She plays with rare sympathy and sweetness, and the applause that she receives after each appearance attests the fact that she is pleas- ing the audiences. You don’t need to be told that Mutt and Jeff are funny—they are always funny—but this week, in “In the Hospital” they are Ate than ever. If you want to have a good, hearty laugh don’t miss them. And we have been told that laughing is mighty fine for the digestion. Altogether we don’t think it is going a bit too far to say that we have the best all-round program*in Seattle, and the price afternoon or © | evening is just 10c. And the children are only 5c. Loge seats, big, comfortable, roomy seats they are, are 25c. THE STRAND Second Avenue, Between Spring and Seneca Streets
