In the opinion of The Star, this means that Erickson will be in the council, and not in the Mayor’s Chair, after election. Erickson, as head of the council, is fully as valuable as he would be as mayor. Erickson that, under the circumstances, he should not file for mayor. Probably he is more valuable.
