BIRD'S CAFETERIA A Good Place to Eat The Cafeteria is rapidly becoming recognized by the public at large as the most practical and economical solution of the catering problem. Bird’s is the last word in both sanitation and service as applied to the modern Cafeteria. We wish at this time to announce that our New Breakfast Room is open. We found it necessary, on account of our rapidly increas- ing business, to expand. It is the neatest and most pleasant place to eat you can imagine. At present we are open from 6 a. m. until 12 p. m. Short orders a specialty. You will find the prices popular in every sense of the word — the service is swift and the cooking excellent. We take pleasure in cooking spe- cial dishes and game to order. Mr. Bird personally super- vises the cafeteria. He is an exceptionally capable buyer of foodstuffs and always con- siders quality first and fore- most. It is his ambition to serve the best meal for the money in the city. Third Ave. Entrance to Breakfast Room and Cafeteria Proper Over 2,500 people have been served daily this week, proving our immense capacity—our ser- vice and meals being praised from all sides. We give the best meal in the city at the price. Serving Hours in Cafeteria, 11 A. M. Till 2:30 P. M.; 5 P. M. Till 7:30 P. M. Ralph H. Dobbs, the chef, is well and favor- ably known. He is an artist in his line, having won a Gold Medal at the A.-Y. P. Exposition. He was special chef to James J. Hill, presi- dent of the Great North- ern Railroad, who, at one time, after a partic- ularly enjoyable meal prepared for him by Mr. Dobbs, presented him with a “tip” of $35.00. For a number of years he was traveling chef with several Eastern railroads. His tasty cooking has made him a prime fa- vorite with the regulars at “Bird’s” and is the delight of visitors. ooewec—c_e_e=aas=EeRl™y™lOyE=™D=EEE System is a hobby with Mr. Bird; it is everywhere in evidence. The Cafeteria proper is finished in white marble—brass railings and fittings give a highly artistic appearance to the room. The walls are repainted every six months. The Kitchen is a model cooking plant—clean as a pin. Sanitation is the watchword. The equipment is the best known—you are invited to inspect it any time. The food is arranged on steam tables and kept piping hot. The Cafeteria system enables one to select the food you wish to eat—saves long waits and invariably assures a pleasant meal.
