Keen LONDON, Sept. 8 (by mail to New York)—What Great Brit- ain proposes to do for its volun- teer soldiers will be told shortly in what will be known as Form B, an appeal for enlistments, soon to be issued. Privates in the infantry will re- ceive approximately $1.60 weekly. The pay is somewhat higher for the other branches. Married men are entitled also to a daily allowance of 26 cents for their wives and 4 cents for each child. They also will be required to allot 84 cents weekly from/their own pay to their families. The government makes, too, a de- duction of 3 cents a week for in- surance of men disabled in battle. The widows of those killed in action will receive from $1.20 to $2.40 a week, with additional allow- ances for children.
