Bad luck seems to have followed him. In 1909, while in command of the Dora, he was blown off the coast of Alaska, and after drifting up and down the Pacific for over a month, and suffering from starva- tion and exposure, finally reached this port. Captain Moore had been in command of the Admiral Sampson three months. Captain Moore was the only brother of the jate Captain Frank Moore, who at the time of his death was employed by the Alaska Steamship company. Captain Moore spent yesterday showing the city to his aged father. He was divorced from his wife some years ago and leaves no children.
