The world is beginning to realize that the political fight—which is fa: st becoming a personal fight—between William Howard Taft and Theodore Roosevelt is one of the most dramatic of its kind in the history of country. The heart of the plot in th: drama of course, the past friendship of those two men. Roosevelt, the man who placed Taft in his cabinet, and who later retired from the presidency and placed friend inthe executive chair of the nation, is now trying to yank him out of it and reseat himself there. Teddy is tired of playing the role of “Warwick, the king maker,” and now he would be ruler again. Most every day there is a new and sensational development in the struggle for mastery between these two men, It’s worth the time of every Seattle man and woman to follow the news, and The Star is giving them all of it. =) The Seattle Star May Robson Makes a Funny ONLY INDEPENDENT NEWSPAPER IN SEATTLE How Seattle and King County, in Primaries, Joined the Pro- gressives’ Ranks.
