Viewed from the distance, all its lines are those of beauty—“Beautiful West Seattle” it i called, and the name is aptly fitting, appropriate and well conceived It is not only from the distance that West Seattle is beautiful, but on all its shores, on the summit of its hills, it is both beautiful and good to dwell upon, and from all those shores and from the summits of those hills, in every direction, a picture of exquisite beauty, of grandeur, of sublimjty, unfolds itself » the westward the snow-capped Olympics form a rugged ridge, with serrated skyline majestically surmounting the wooded foothills blue of Puget Sound.
