Y. P. E. | The newspaper artists and car toonists of the state of Washington have formed a state organization known as the Washington State Newspaper Artists’ association. mainly for the purpose of holding an exhibit at the A.Y.P. expo sition. The association consists of all of the artists and cartoonists who are employed by the newspapers and do work for publications, Sev eral of the members do work for jarge eastern publications, Puck and Judge, and the magazines, also book illustrating in addition to their local work There bas been a local organiza tion of the artists in Seattle for some tim which consists of some 16 members. They have held two very interesting exhibits, one at the Lincoln and the other at the Butler hotel.
