Second ay, and Union at. - Seven Million Tons of Coal Costing Less Than a Dollar to Mine \Figure Out the Profit i ‘Price in Seattle Will Be at Least Ten Dollars Per Ton This Winter—Provide Against It It costs the Superior Coal and Improvement Company just ninety-two cents per ton to get coal out of the mine and into the bunkers at the mines. It's a short hau! over the North- jern Pacific to Seattle (the mines are 12 miles east) and a person can easily figure out the enor- mous profits when coal goes to $10.00 per ton, as it surely will this winter. If the railroads fail to supply us with cars, we are going to bring coal to Seattle by water. We are about four miles from Lake Washington, and in order to relieve the famine arrangements can be made in less than 30 days to load scows and deliver Superior coal to any of the street car lines running to Lake Washington. We are going to sell coal cheaper than the trust and still pay stockholders large divi- dends. Every man, woman and child reading this announcement should put every single 7 they can scrape together into stock in this company, because it will mean an income jor life. It is safer to buy Superior Coal Company stock than to put your money in a bank, and no bank on earth can pay equal profits. Money men of Seattle have told us we are foolish to place stock on the market at 25¢ per share, when the company is capitalized for such a smiall amount, but they are wrong We jintend to get the most of our money by selling coal. We put this stock on the market at 25c jper share, par value $1.00, because we want the wage earner with us fe sell stock on the jinstallment plan because we want every one to have a chance.
