But the writer is evidently like the overwhelming majority of drinkers, His request to be shows not onty the way, but the surest way, to stop drinking shows he realizes his condi- tion, and that, being anxious to fight, he has the will power fo win. There is only one way for that kind of @ man to stop drinking. And that is, to STOP! “But that is easier said than done,” says the drinker, The difficulty of doing it is one of the penalties that a man fust pay for his folly in allowing the habit to master him But the drink habit can be killed with one good, strong blow. A million gentle taps will be without effect, Don't cut down your supply of whisky. Cut it out. Tf you were siffering from a cancer that could be cnt out you would hardly be satisfied with the method of the sur- geon who cut a little off the outside today, and a little tomor- fow, and so on indefinitely—while the cancer pushed its roots deeper and deeper into your body every minute.
