John Freeman at 8 o'clock is morning reported to the sheriff's office that he had seen Tracy near Ravenna park at about 6:30 o'clock. The man was armed with a rifle and was carrying a large bundle. He was Walking north along the Seattle & International track, and Freeman claims that he positively recognized him as Tracy by resemblance to the published photographs of the latter. Freeman says he was but 50 feet from the man when the latter passed. The supposed convict paid no attention to him farther than to quicken his pace slightly. ‘The sheriff's office i$ much impressed with Freeman's story, and the posse is now Working north from Ravenna park.
