api THE SEATTLE STAR. Last Edition 4 O'Clock REPLY OF THE STAR TO SEATTLE Municipal Electric Plant Would Pay a Big Profit, Even Upon the Basis of the Electric Company's Own Figures Yesterday the Star printed Statement from the Seattle Electric the object of which was to show that the estimates previously pu lished in the Star, of the probable cost of lighting under a municipal System, were tn urate in many Particulars. The claim was made that the Star's estimates were too low, and the assertion was sought to be demonstrated by figures tro: the books of the company. No attack fs made upon the Star's figures for fixed charges, or the cost of power, and tn private discus- sion the corporation's officials have not challenged them further than to say, as they do in their printed state ment, that such calculations are at best but estimates.
