The facts show that the dead man, whoever he was, was buried under the wrong name. Frank Nolan js thé son of Mrs. Ellen Nolan of this city, and was born and raised here. He has been away for four years. A message was received by No- lan’'s brother-in-law, Supervisor Ralph Miller, a few days before Christmas from Jacob Blum, a former resident of Santa Cruz. but now of Newman, stating that James Nolan, another. son of Mrs. Nolan and an old schoolmate of Blum. had died of pneumonia in a hotel there. The reiatives here knew that this could not be, as James Nolan was working for his brother John in the latter's grocery in .San Francisco. The body, however, was sent for, Blum being positive that if it was not James it was certainly Frank Nolan. The body arrived, but the relatives were not positive of-its identity, although it bore a strong resemblance to Frank Nolan. They were reassured by the statements of friends, however, that the expression of a face often changes with death. The family gave the body burial as that of Frank Nolan, but with many misgivings. :. The discovery has just been made that Frank Nolan is alive and well. It is now believed that the #fian buried was James Hannahan, who has not been heard of for some time.
